10 hour flight from Sydney, followed by 1.5 hours in queue at immigration, and then over a two hour bus ride through Tokyo to reach the hotel.
Today we setup for the meeting, and once that was done, I went for a walk through Tokyo (or a VERY small part of it) to Akihabara which is called 'Electric City' as it is full of neon lights and is the Central area for buying anything electrical.
On the way I found 'Musical Alley' which is a street lined with music shops, mostly selling guitars.
was nice to find one store that only had acoustic instruments too!
Also surprised to find that there is a LOT of water through Tokyo. rivers, canals etc everywhere.
Didnt take too long to find Akihabara with its Computer Megastores, and one particular store called Yodabashi. its an 8 level department store, that sells only Digital Cameras, Computers, Mobile Phones and accessories. 8 levels is a LOT of phones and Cameras. One floor alone was dedicated ONLY to iphone and iPad cases, covers and accessories.
Also found a pretty cool display of food which was all Hello Kitty themed. I thought it was pretty neat.
Never did find the actual store inside the building that sold it though. Those Ice-creams looked good too!
Right behind me from where i took the photo of the Tokyo Dome Theme park above was this canal....
